TOTLEY RISE GUIDES VILLAGE STYLE TALENT SHOW

In January of this year we held a village style event to provide a showcase opportunity for the many talents of our guides.

The guides could make up to three entries in any of the five different showcase categories.

The categories were :

• Handicrafts:
• Fairy cakes
• Junk Models
• Pets - gerbils and hamsters, rabbits and guinea pigs, fish, small dogs (allowed after great pressure from the guides)
• Talent competition - a presentation of a poem, mime, song, musical piece, ballet or a contemporary dance.

Two of our ex guides Hannah and Rachel who are now young leaders with our rainbow group were kind enough to do the judging. As always we were astounded by the creativity and the talents of our guides. We had a lot of fun and Hannah and Rachel found it very hard to choose category winners amongst all the superb entries. The photographs of the night give you some idea of the talents on show.
