This term, as part of the Peace & Society Go for It, each of the patrols in our unit have chosen an elderly lady who lives locally to visit and get to know. We have called it "adopt a granny".
The idea was that we would visit the ladies several times over a period of a month. The first time we went to visit, we went with the whole of our patrol. Since then we have visited them in pairs several times. The grannies names are Eva, Phil, Grace, Margery and Beatrice.
Our granny is called Eva we go to her house Mondays and Wednesdays. At her house we talk about things we do at school, our hobbies, or any thing we do at the weekends. We really enjoy visiting our grannies, and our patrol thinks it's a great idea. We asked our granny if she wanted us to do any shopping or anything, but she said she could manage. On Friday it was her birthday! She is 82 ! ! ! We sent her some flowers and a card.
